The Sony SRS-XP700 wireless speaker will have a tweeter in the front and back and two woofers which will deliver a surround sound experience. Sony calls this an Omnidirectional Party Sound. It has the same connectivity options and similar features including Ambient Lighting, Karaoke, and Guitar Input like that of SRS-XP700. It also has an IPX4 rating and provides SBC, AAC, and LDAC support. The speaker is expected to have a battery life of 20 hours upon a single charge and it weighs 5.5kg.

The Sony SRS-XG500 features an all-horizontal design and has an IP66 rating for both dust and water. It also has two tweeters and two woofers but it doesn’t support the Omni Directional Sound. It doesn’t have the USB Play and Charge feature but has a USB Type-A port for playing the audio. It also has connectivity options for stereo jack, mic input, and guitar input.
