Walmart launches GoLocal as its delivery service for local businesses

Walmart has launched its new delivery service named GoLocal. The delivery service will focus mainly on local businesses. The company clarifies that the service will be available to each and every company that requires a delivery service to help them reach their products to customers. The company adds that it will be a white-label delivery service and will be developed upon the current delivery infrastructure.

GoLocal will help the businesses in the US to deliver their products to their customers. It will provide the retailers with different options for delivery. With GoLocal, the retailers can opt for scheduled or unscheduled deliveries. Walmart already has its delivery service for its own customers. It is estimated that the delivery service operates for over 3,000 stores across the US. It has also been testing advanced delivery options like self-driving delivery vehicles.

Walmart claims that it has entered into deals with many businesses for the GoLocal service. The new service will give Walmart an upper hand over Amazon. This service will be useful for local businesses to deliver their products to customers so that they will be less interested in buying from online retailers.

Walmart US CEO John Furner stated that with more customers depending on criteria like speed and trustworthiness, businesses should focus on hiring service providers that will understand their needs. He added that Walmart is looking forward to help local businesses while providing good quality and low-cost services.
