A new beta update 2.21.140.11 released by WhatsApp will add a new user interface for calls as well as a new feature for group calls. As per WABetaInfo, the feature is similar to Apple’s Facetime. The new update is providing users the options they might be looking for, while on a call. A ‘Ring’ button is provided at the bottom of the screen. In case you have missed any group calls, the new update allows you to join the call later if the call is still going on. This can be done by opening the calls section in the app and clicking on the “Tap to Join” label below an ongoing video call.
The feature is now available for iOS users and is rumoured to be made available for Android beta users too.
