The much-awaited Tokyo Olympics will begin today. The Olympics which was scheduled to be held last year was delayed due to the pandemic. Even though the pandemic is still posing a threat, authorities have decided to go on with the event.
This time audience is not allowed to enter the venues. Instead, live-streaming and broadcasts are arranged so as the fans don’t miss out on the events.
Indian athletes have reached Japan for participating in the Olympics. Indian flags will be held by Mary Kom and Manpreet Singh for the opening ceremony. In India, Tokyo Olympics will be covered by Sony Sports Network. It will be live-streamed on SonyLIV. Doordarshan will also be showing live broadcasts of the event.
