Salesforce will venture into the streaming service through the new Salesforce+. The new platform will be used to stream original content related to businesses and professionals. The streaming service will debut during the Dreamforce event in September. The service which is developed by its in-house studio will be a business media platform unlike platforms like Netflix and the one by Walt Disney. The contents will include live experiences, original series, and podcasts.

It will have a Connections section to feature marketers and The Inflection Point which will feature CEOs of some top brands like Coco-Cola and Ford Motor. It will also have segments called Leading Through Change, Boss Talks and Simply Put. The company said it will be available for a global audience. “With engaging stories, thought leadership and expert advice, Salesforce+ will illuminate the future of technology in the digital-first, work anywhere world and inspire millions of Trailblazers to learn new skills, pursue new career opportunities, and drive change in the world,” said the company in a press release.

Salesforce acquired Slack in July for $27.7 billion. By this Salesforce hoped that Slack will help in collaborations within and between companies. Salesforce president Bret Taylor and Slack chief executive Stewart Butterfield added that the merger will help in bringing down the complexity of having to use different cloud-based apps in the workplace.

Slack’s “channel” could replace all the communication via emails, phone calls, and video conferences during a deal. Taylor said that it becomes so useful since thousands of apps work with Slack. He added that “We did the due diligence for the Slack acquisition in Slack,… I joked it had the highest billable hours of any channel, ever because we had all the lawyers in there and the investment banks,” he said, but “it was really a transformative experience.”
