On Tuesday, Redmi launched two new laptops in the Indian market. The RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-Learning Edition laptops have 11th-generation Intel Core processors and have a storage capacity of 512GB. Redmi aims at professionals and working people with RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-Learning Edition aim at students. Both the laptops will have preloaded Windows 10 Home, Microsoft Office Home, and Student Edition 2019. The laptops are also eligible for Windows 11 upgrade. The models also have full-HD displays and have a battery life of 10 hours on a single charge. The pre-installed Mi Smart Share app allows easy sharing of files between compatible devices.
The price for RedmiBook Pro in India is set at Rs.49,999 which has 8GB RAM + 512GB storage. It will come in Charcoal Grey colour. The RedmiBook e-Learning Edition will have a price tag of Rs.41,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs.44,999 for the 8GB + 512GB storage variant. The laptops will be live on sale from August 6th at 12 pm (noon) and will be available on Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
The RedmiBook Pro will run on Windows 10 Home and will have a 15.6-inch full-HD display. The scissor-mechanism keyboard has 1.5mm key travel along with a 100cm trackpad and support for Windows Precision Drivers and multi-touch inputs. The 11th-generation Intel Core i5-11300H processor used has a maximum clock speed of 4.4GHz, along with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and 8GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 5, two USB 3.2 Gen 1, one USB 2.0, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45), and a 3.5mm combo audio jack with an SD card reader.
RedmiBook Pro has a boot time of 12 seconds as claimed by the company and a reboot time of 25 seconds with a wake time of lesser than two seconds. It has two 2W speakers with DTS Audio which delivers a stereo sound experience. The 720p webcam along with dual microphones aid in video conferences. It also has a large air intake vent to maintain temperature.
The RedmiBook e-Learning Edition laptop also comes with Windows 10 Home and a 15.6-inch full-HD display. The processor used here is different. The 11th-generation Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.1GHz is used here. The 8GB of RAM has a 3200MHz clock speed. The laptop also has stereo speakers with DTS Audio. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and HDMI ports.
