In an attempt to bring magnetic wireless charging to Android, Realme has introduced its MagDart magnetic wireless fast charging technology. Similar in looks to Apple’s MagSafe, MagDart promises higher charging speeds than MagSafe. Realme announced devices that work with MagDart technology and it includes a 50W MagDart Wireless Charger, a 15W MagDart Charger, and a MagDart Power Bank. It also includes some other accessories that work on MagDart technology. The technology was revealed through a concept phone called Realme Flash, which according to the company will be the first Android phone to have magnetic wireless charging.

MagDart technology allows the device to attach itself to the backside of an Android phone and helps in charging. It would anyway require to be connected with a wire. The peripherals using this technology include MagDart Wallet, MagDart Beauty Light, and MagDart case which is designed specifically for the Realme GT.

The 50W MagDart Wireless Charger is in the shape of a cuboid with vents on the side and bottom. It has a USB Type-C port and has 50W charging speed. It also allows active cooling with the help of a compact cooling fan. It has 1.5mm magnets. The Realme 15W MagDart Charger is 3.9mm thick and comes with a non-removable cable. The portable power bank model, MagDart Power Bank supports two-way charging.

MagDart Wallet is made up of white vegan leather and can hold up to three cards. The MagDart Beauty Light is a light ring with 60 LEDs that can be used to illuminate faces while taking selfies. It can be attached to the phone. The MagDart Case of Realme GT makes it a compatible device for magnetic wireless charging.

The Realme Flash as said earlier is a concept phone and is used to showcase MagDart technology. Realme hasn’t given any information on whether it will release this model. It also has not notified when the MagDart devices will be available to the public.
