Xiaomi Smarter Living 2022 event had witnessed the launch of Mi TV 5X along with the Mi Band 6. The new Mi TV 5X is a successor to the Mi TV 4X range which came out last year. The new television range comprises 40W speakers that have Dolby Atmos support. The Adaptive Brightness feature adjusts the brightness of the device according to the surroundings. The television will be powered by PatchWall 4 interface. It will also have a far-field mic to access the Google Assistant.

In India, the smart TV is launched in three models. The 43-inch model will cost Rs. 31,999. The 50-inch model will cost Rs. 41,999 and the 55-inch model will cost Rs. 47,999. It will be available for purchase from Mi.com, Flipkart.com, Mi Home, Mi Studio, and Croma, from September 7 at 12pm (noon).

The Vivid Picture Engine 2 will provide the TV with better saturation levels and sharper details. The Adaptive Brightness feature mentioned above is enabled by the photoelectric sensor present. The Mi TV 5X has a 96.6 percent screen-to-body ratio and a 4K resolution display. It consists of premium metallic bezels and a one billion colour view. Smoother visuals are guaranteed by a Reality Flow MEMC engine. The TV has support for Dolby Vision, Hybrid Log Gamma, HDR 10, and HDR 10+. 

The PatchWall 4 interface is based on Android TV 10. It ensures faster responses and is lighter. Xiaomi has teamed up with IMDb to display content that has higher ratings across 30 streaming services. It will help users to make an apt choice. The top-rated content will be available on the PatchWall homepage. PatchWall 4 provides more than 75 live channels for free. The universal search added will be able to show results from different OTT apps. Added safety is provided by Safe Search features and Kids Mode. It also has access to Play Store and also built-in Chromecast. 

The Mi TV 5X has three HDMI 2.1 ports and two USB ports. The gaming experience is enhanced by the built-in Auto Low Latency Mode. It has 2GB RAM along with 16GB of internal storage. The device is also powered by the 64-bit quad-core A55 CPU and Mali G52 MP2 GPU.
