HP has added to its Chrome OS ecosystem a new HP Chromebook x2 11 and HP Chromebase 21.5-inch All-in-One desktop. The HP Chromebook x2 11 will have a detachable keyboard that provides a hybrid laptop-tablet experience. The Chromebase All-in-One desktop will have a rotating display that allows different ways of browsing. HP has also released the HP M24fd USB-C Monitor which is Chromebook-certified and allows access to Google’s OS on a larger screen. 

The price for HP Chromebook x2 11 will start at $599.99 (Rs. 44,700). It will have Night Teal and Shade Gray colour options. The HP Chromebase 21.5-inch All-in-One desktop will also have a starting price of $599.99. Both the devices will be available in the US by the end of this month. The HP M24fd USB-C Monitor will be available in October with a starting price of $249.99 (Rs. 18,600). 

The HP Chromebook x2 11 will have an 11-inch 2K IPS display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It will have Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The HP Wireless Rechargeable USI Certified Pen that comes with the laptop will allow the writing of notes in the user’s handwriting and drawing. It can be attached magnetically to the display and wirelessly charged. 

The laptop is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC storage. It also has a 5MP selfie camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera. The stereo speakers provided are tuned by Bang & Olufsen. The detachable keyboard will also have an oversized touchpad. The fingerprint sensor present will allow biometric authentication. The laptop will allow connections for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, and two USB Type-C ports. 

HP Chromebook x2 11 comes with pre-installed HP QuickDrop for making files and media sharing easy. The laptop has a 2-cell, 32Wh battery which ensures 11 hours of usage.

HP Chromebase 21.5-inch All-in-One desktop has a full-HD rotating display which allows tilting upwards to 20 degrees and rotation of 90 degrees from landscape to portrait with the touch of a button. Under its hood, it has Intel Core processors with up to 16Gb of DRAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage. Here too the speakers are tuned by Bang & Olufsen and feature dual 5W speakers. It has a 5MP camera sensor with lighting adjustments. The Privacy Camera Switch will allow the user to switch on or off the camera. It also has a built-in microphone. 

HP claims that the conical base will have a small footprint. Improved airflow is ensured by the fabric-wrapped base. The desktop has Bluetooth support which enables wireless connectivity with compatible hardware. 

The HP M24fd USB-C Monitor has a 24-inch screen. It is designed to be compatible with Chromebooks out-of-the-box. It has a 65W USB Type-C cable that can connect with any USB Type-C capable laptop. The blue light reduction is ensured by HP Eye Ease and Eyesafe technologies without affecting the colours on the screen.
