Google has launched the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL in India, all powered by the new Tensor G4 SoC

Google unveiled the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL at its Made by Google event on Tuesday. These flagship smartphones are powered by the new Tensor G4 SoC and come equipped with the Titan M2 security chip. All three models feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and are guaranteed to receive seven years of Android OS updates, security patches, and Pixel Drops. The Pixel 9 comes with 12GB of RAM, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL offer 16GB of RAM. The standard model includes a dual rear camera setup, while the Pro versions boast triple rear cameras.

Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL Price in India
The Pixel 9 is priced at Rs. 79,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant available in India, offered in Peony, Porcelain, Obsidian, and Wintergreen colors. However, the 128GB variant will not be available in the country.

The Pixel 9 Pro is priced at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage version, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL is priced at Rs. 1,24,999 for the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage model. Both Pro models are available in Hazel, Porcelain, Rose Quartz, and Obsidian color options. The Pixel 9 series will be available through Flipkart, Croma, and Reliance Digital retail outlets starting August 22.

Pixel 9 Specifications
The dual-SIM (nano+eSIM) Pixel 9 runs on Android 14 and is guaranteed seven years of OS updates, security patches, and Pixel Drops. It features a 6.3-inch (1,080 x 2,424 pixels) Actua OLED display with 422ppi pixel density, up to 2,700 nits peak brightness, and a refresh rate ranging from 60Hz to 120Hz. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is powered by the Tensor G4 SoC paired with a Titan M2 security coprocessor.

The Pixel 9 has a dual rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel Octa PD wide-angle camera with a 1/1.31-inch sensor and up to 8x Super Res Zoom, along with a 48-megapixel Quad PD ultra wide-angle camera with a 1/2.55-inch sensor. For selfies, it features a 10.5-megapixel dual PD front camera with autofocus. The camera setup offers several AI-enhanced features such as Magic Eraser, Best Take, Photo Unblur, and Night Sight. It can also record 4K videos at 24/30/60 fps.

The Pixel 9 is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance and supports in-display fingerprint scanning and face unlock for authentication. Other sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, Google Cast, GPS, Dual Band GNSS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, and a USB Type-C port.

The Pixel 9 is equipped with a 4,700mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging (charger sold separately) and Qi-certified wireless charging. The wired charging is claimed to charge the battery from 0 to 55 percent in about 30 minutes. The device offers more than 24 hours of battery life on a single charge and measures 152.8×72.0x8.5mm, weighing 198 grams.

The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL share the same SIM, software, and chipset as the Pixel 9. The Pixel 9 Pro features a 6.3-inch (1,280 x 2,856 pixels) Super Actua (LTPO) OLED display with 495ppi pixel density, up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The Pixel 9 Pro XL, on the other hand, comes with a larger 6.8-inch (1,344 x 2,992 pixels) Super Actua (LTPO) OLED display with 486ppi pixel density, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. Both displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Both Pro models feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50-megapixel Octa PD wide camera, a 48-megapixel Quad PD ultra-wide camera, and a 48-megapixel Quad PD telephoto camera with up to 30x Super Res Zoom and 5x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, they are equipped with a 42-megapixel Dual PD front camera with autofocus.
