It is without a doubt that General Motors is very excited about its battery-electric GMC Hummer, the company has been showing its development design sketches for quite some time now. Hummer’s early “theme sketches” were out the next day after the off-road vehicle with the 200-kWh Ultium battery pack debuted online last year in October. These sketches lead to the production version. After a month they came up with more development renderings that showcased a much wilder truck. Now the company has let out another “ideation sketch”.
The sketches show three-box proportions, with wheel wells cut with a similar clearance as that of a Baja 1000 Trophy Truck. There is an illuminated Hummer script with a narrow tailgate adorned with taillights that contain six individual elements. There is a bumper-less rear end beneath that. The images showcase a production-ready truck and we can expect that it will be out soon.
The GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 is expected to be out for delivery before the end of this year. We will get to know whether the various specifications made by the company are useful or not only when the truck is taken to its native habitats.
