Dyson has unveiled its second pair of over-the-ear headphones, named OnTrac, which notably differ from the previous Dyson Zone model by not featuring an integrated air purifier.
The OnTrac headphones are designed purely for audio, distancing themselves from the futuristic and somewhat unusual design of their predecessors. Dyson emphasizes this distinction by branding them as “audio-only” headphones.
Targeting audiophiles and those willing to invest over $500 in high-quality sound, the OnTrac headphones boast a highly customizable design. Users can switch out ear cushions and earcup outer caps to personalize colors, with four options available at launch and more to be added later. These headphones also feature advanced noise-canceling capabilities, reducing up to 40 decibels of noise, and offer an impressive battery life of 55 hours under normal usage.
Although Dyson has not yet announced a release date for the OnTrac headphones, they will start at $500, with additional customizations potentially increasing the price.
