To utilize this functionality, developers can utilize the Animal Body Pose API, which can detect and identify various actions of a pet, such as sitting, standing, and posing.
By combining the motorized stand hardware and the DockKit framework, developers will have the ability to create innovative apps and experiences for pet tracking using iPhones. It is worth noting that when paired with an iPhone, the motorized stand is reportedly capable of providing a 360-degree field of view. However, it remains uncertain whether Apple will release first-party hardware and an app specifically designed for pet tracking, or if users will have to rely on third-party apps and services.
There are already numerous motorized stands available for iPhones, and with the upcoming iOS 17 update, Apple is empowering developers to fully utilize these accessories.
